Over a 45-year career, Balbín has advised governments, multinational organizations, and private sector leaders across Latin America and Europe on trade integration, international banking, and supply chain strategy. His expertise spans the full spectrum of global commerce—from contract structuring and Incoterms to multimodal logistics, customs compliance, and trade finance instruments. A recognized international speaker and professor, he is known for translating complex trade frameworks into practical strategies that drive efficiency, reduce risk, and strengthen cross-border operations. His work continues to shape how organizations navigate the evolving realities of global trade. Balbín holds a degree from the University of Oviedo and has completed postgraduate studies in foreign trade and business administration, along with specialized training in European short sea shipping and international logistics.
